Marieke Hochstenbach

“Finally creating the type of education I fully agree with.”

From May 2007, Marieke is involved with the educational side of Creative Learning Lab projects as educational developer. Marieke was a primary school teacher for four years and an educational professional at Teleac NOT.

For Marieke, it was always her goal to contribute to innovation within the educational system. “Working at Creative Learning Lab is fantastic, because I get the opportunity to develop the type of education I fully agree with. On top of that, I can immediately see the responses of the students. Luckily, I can also still perform my teaching affinities, because I give training and workshops about the possibilities of digital technology within education."

If creative digital education would have been available when Marieke was a pupil, she would have loved to work with Games Atelier. “To learn by using a game with mobile phones means that you directly experience the teaching material and that you are able to learn outside the borders of the school walls. I know for sure I would have truly enjoyed that.”
